How do I start my whole-home remodel?
It all starts by giving us a call or sending us an email. Kevin will set up a time that is convenient for you. He’ll visit your home, and review the details of your project in person. A rough estimate is then generated to establish a budget. Final design begins once the estimate and budget are approved. After completing a final design and product selection, a bid price for the project is given. The final construction contract is signed and schedule is decided upon. Bricewood requires a down payment of 30% at contract signing, two intermediate payments of 30% each during the project, and the final 10% payment made after completion of your project.
What is included in a "Free Estimate"?
The rough estimate will include a complete and detailed description of work and products to be used on the project. Allowances will be given for items that need to be chosen by the client. A floor plan may be generated to clarify the proposed layout when needed. An estimated total is given to establish a budget for your proposed project.
How does Bricewood handle change orders during a project?
Occasionally a client may wish to make a change mid-project, or unforeseen circumstances arise after we’ve opened up a wall. These situations are completely manageable, and are handled by a document called a “Change Order”. Bricewood does not charge any additional fees for a Change Order. The contracting parties must agree upon any deviation from the original contract documents. All changes to the scope will be quoted, written, and signed by both parties. Schedule changes caused by Change Orders will be indicated on the Change Order.
How much does a home remodel cost?
This is one of the most difficult questions to answer in construction. There are so many variables to consider in estimating the cost of a remodel project; one size does not fit all. We determine each project individually based on your specific criteria. To find out how much your whole-home remodel will cost, contact us for a free estimate.
